Thru the Lens of: Michael 'Taco' Hanson and His Photos of the CDT!

Michael 'Taco' Hanson
PCT Pacific Crest Trail Thru-Hiking Photos Mike Hanson

Hello! My name is Michael Hanson and I am a professional photographer based out of the Carolinas. As an avid outdoorsman, hiker, and backpacker, most of my photography is centered around outdoor recreation and adventure! But I also specialize in real estate photography, commercial photography for businesses, and personal photography for families and individuals.

I am currently hiking my way across the country through the states of New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, & Montana via the Continental Divide Trail! My goal with my hike is to see the west the slow way, while also creating memories and shooting photographs of my journey along the way.

So far, we have battled high winds and harsh sun across the barren New Mexico desert, trudged through deep snow, traversed icy ridge lines, and faced thunderstorms at 14,000ft in the mountains of Colorado!
And we are now about to enter Wyoming to hike across the rolling plains of the Great Divide Basin. From there, we will continue north through the Wind River Range, Yellowstone National Park, and the Bob Marshall Wilderness of Montana. Finally finishing at the Canadian border in Glacier National Park around the beginning of Fall!

Like all your photos. Especially the ones with 1, 2 or 3 people in the photo. Nice composition.
