Kickstarter Roundup: Kammok Hammocks, Crua, Baby Sleeping Bags, and Reflective Cordage

Lloyd Vogel

This week's Kickstarter Roundup feature projects from Kammok, Crua Outdoors, GO! Outfitters, and just an incredibly cute sleeping bag for babies.

We've been stoked about The Mantis for a while, and now that it's here, it's obvious that it was worth the wait. The Mantis and the Mantis UL are all in one hammock systems that are comprised of a hammock, straps, an integrated (and removable) bugnet, and a tarp. Everything you need to go from ground-dwelling to tree-dwelling! Plus... the UL Mantis weighs just over 2lbs... Nice!

With a breathable hammock body, integrated insect net, and featherlight rainfly, the Mantis all-in-one hammock tent lightens your pack and takes camp off the ground.

We designed the Mantis to make backpacking simpler, so you can pack less and cover more ground. Smaller than your sleeping bag and lighter than a 1-person tent, the Mantis offer a lightweight respite for hikers on trail.

What's not to like about ultralight, ultrastrong, and reflective cordage? Sure it's not the "sexiest" piece of gear to chat about, but not running into your own guylines at night sounds pretty phenomenal!

Our new reflective, ultralight, high strength cordage, that you can count on when you’re hiking or camping.  Use it for guy lines, tarp ridgelines and as a general purpose utility cord. It holds knots great but, no knots are required when using tactical toggles as knot replacement devices.

This reflective cordage, is made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (HMPE), It’s a material that’s commonly used to make body armor, bowstrings, climbing equipment, and for many more critical applications.

Have a baby? Check out this baby sleeping bag! Don't have a baby? Watch the video anyways. It's cute.

Available with your choice of certified 800 fill power down or hypoallergenic synthetic insulation, the Morrison Outdoors Baby Sleeping Bags are designed to help parents sleep easier by providing the perfect sleep environment for little ones in cold weather.

Our down-insulated sleep sacks use premium 800 fill power down and overstuffed  2.5" baffles to create a sleeping bag with an estimated 20°F (-7°C) temperature rating

The Baby Sleeping Bags with Synthetic Fill use a hypoallergenic synthetic insulation to give incredible warmth (still 20° rated) and improved performance while wet.
