    Superior Wilderness Designs

Superior Wilderness Designs was founded by Brandon McIntyre, and Ashley Thick. Superior Wilderness Designs is based out of Romeo, Michigan, and they currently have a small shop in their home where they design and make all of their products.  Brandon mainly takes care of designing and sewing products, and Ashley takes care of marketing, social media, and helps out with preparing products around the sewing room.

They make ultralight backpacks, shelters, accessories, and various other gear for any outdoor adventure. The gear they make is suitable for weekend outings in the woods or months on the trail thru-hiking the PCT. Superior Wilderness Designs' main focus so far has been ultralight backpacks. Packs are something that they are very passionate about, and they love that they get to help people disappear into the wilderness for extended periods of time.

Superior Wilderness Designs combine the best materials available today with high quality craftsmanship and know-how to bring you what they believe to be one of the best ultralight packs on the market today. Their attention to detail and small batch production assures the best in quality control and customer satisfaction.

Their got their start making gear for themselves for various backcountry outings. Their first big trip was a hike of the John Muir Trail, and being picky about the gear they use and how heavy a lot of the standard “big box” gear is, they decided to make much of their gear for that trip. Since then they have been steadily making gear for themselves and their friends. Finally in 2016 they officially decided to bring their products to the masses and they couldn't be more excited about it! They can't wait to get the Superior Wilderness Designs name out there and become a major player in the cottage industry of ultralight backpacking gear.
