Outdoorsist for decades, so I got in the habit of value shopping a long time ago for the best balance of weight/quality/price that works best for this Old Fat Fart. I do lots of research before making my purchases, and since its inception, I inevitably find myself back at GGG’s site. While I don’t always make my purchases from them, them seem to get a decent amount of my orders and I’m always extremely happy with everything from the shopping experience, the selections, great customer service, to the delivery and product. For the most part, if I’m not ordering direct, then odds are I’m buying used or from GGG.

I searched for the best place to find the best gear for my needs. GGG has never disappointed. They have a great selection of usable, yet funky, awesome gear. I will continue to be a customer.

I’ve ordered from Garage Grown Gear a few times now, and every experience has been awesome. The shipping is quick, the customer service is super responsive, and I love knowing I’m supporting small, cottage brands. It’s honestly refreshing to shop somewhere that actually cares about the outdoor community. Definitely my go-to for ultralight gear now!

I have received a conformation of my second order of a large zenbivy 10 degree sleeping bag for the same price as the first order. This proves that the web site we order from MAY be different from that which GGG uses for dissputes.

I ordered a large zenbivey bag and was charged for a large zenbivy bay but was sent a regular. I notified GGG and they say the website has different prices than the website I am looking at. As a test to see if they are avoiding being fair I ordered another zenbivey bag large and payed the same as the first time. I will report back to what bull poo the throw next.

I'm new to ultralight. I wrote to GGG for pack advice and I got an email the same day suggesting a backpack I hadn't even been considering. I ordered 3 packs, returned 2, and the one I like best is the one GGG suggested, by Virginia Foothill Designs. Great customer service.

They have a lot of cool stuff you just can't find most other places, especially when you don't live in a hiking town, as well as some staple items. I have really enjoyed the products I have purchased. While I am not an UL'er some of these items have helped me shave off quite a bit a weight. Since I found this site, I have purchased from here over other platforms for several items. I don't have as much guilt buying from this online store as I do buying from amazon or other big stores. I really like the mission of this company.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but GGG went out of their way to resolve a very simple issue that most companies would have probably not spent the time to do. That alone will make me a repeat customer…The red pepper flakes and ramen noodle stickers were an extra bonus!

Alpine ice climbing and backpacking for 52 years now. You have a wonderful collection of hard to find, interesting and useful gear. And your just a mile or so from where I grew up as a kid, keep it up!

I so enjoy strolling through your pages and picking out items that are interesting to me and will give me an opportunity to try out this summer. Always looking for that something that serves a purpose, I am a gear head for sure, and running out of room here.

I’ve followed GGG for years but never ordered. Finally had a good reason to order several small items. Rather than ordering from multiple small retailers I was able to place just one order. Good communication from the beginning of the order until delivery. Great and prompt service.

Unique and Awesome gear you can’t find just anywhere and they have it all. I love all the ultra light gadgets that are available. This is great equipment at a fair price for any minimalist!

A magical place for all hiking/camping gear I didn't know I needed. Such a vast collection of gear from garage companies. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this site.

GGG is brand new to me as I prepare for the PCT 2025! Website has tons of products, many which are from smaller companies and specialized items. Also, each product lists so much critical and detailed information! I love the videos of items as it helps show size and configuration. I have learned so much reviewing so many items. Such a valuable resource.
