Hi, in 2024 i’m going to hike alone across France from May to September… The thru-hike HexaTrek is a 1885 miles hiking trail, connecting 14 of the most beautiful nationals parks and crossing France from the Vosges to the Pyrenees. I hope i’ll be able to do that, I’m so excited to start!

I am excited to go hiking in the U.P. (Michigan) with my family and good friends this summer! It has been on our bucket list for a while, so we are starting to plan and get things prepared!

It’s been three years since I started my hiking hobby.
Still, I have to take advantage of the weekend, and I’m careful about doing outdoor activities to spend enough time with my family.
In 2024, we will start our first journey to complete the mountain ranges of the Korean Peninsula. We have to divide the sections into small ones and complete them for the next three years.
In the past, I served in the military and waited only for the day I was discharged. I learned at the time that there were 50 weekends a year. I plan to spend a precious weekend with my family, or I’ll be happy with a hike for myself. Thank you for inspiring me.

My son (19 yrs) and I are planning to section hike the AT. We have talked about it for years, but are finally putting it into action. My 9 yr and 5 yr old daughters are also interested in joining us on a couple short sections to see some waterfalls.

My wife and I tried to thru hike the PCT Back in the spring of 2020. We started just one week before Covid hit and shut down the whole world. We persevered anyway and trudged o er 2,000 miles before massive fires in the PNW forced us to quit the trail. We felt like we really missed out on the “PCT Experience” so …. we’re going to do it all again!

Jan 1 I started to plan a thru of the Superior Hiking Trail in Minnesota. It will be my first attempt at something other than an out and back or weekend trail. I’m shooting for a late May NOBO start. I’m also hoping to get some IAT miles this year here in Wisconsin.

well as a disabled guy i dont get out much, but we do have a nice paved trail that id love to go explore a bit more some day Ice Age Trail of course its only 1,000 miles long.. so i probably wont ever see most of it. lol

I live in the U.K. I plan to do the kungsleden in September, the beacons way in June and this years omm. I really want to get out at least one weekend every month in the lake district, snowdonia or brecon beacons, hopefully more. Wish I didn’t have to work for a living…

I got the stupid intention to hike the pct in 2024. Starting in may with 5 months of constantly asking myself „what iam doing here?“ 😛 love to see the states for the first time.

Looking forward to hiking across Harriman State Park!

Trying to get back into camping after many years because of injuries due to car accidents. I want to try to get a tent that will allow me to use an elevated queen sized air mattress and some kind of power-supply that will allow me to use my oxygen and C-PAP machine and the goal is not just to get out there but to be able to extend some photography trips. I will start locally here in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State and expand out if my body will allow me to.

For the past 5 years a group of friends and I plan a vacation together. Last year it was KY and we hiked Indian Fort Mountain. Stunning! We haven’t decided the spot for this year but Montana and Utah are in the running:)

This is the year I FINALLY hike the JMT. My backup plan is the North Lake/South Lake Loop just in case I can’t swing over 3 weeks vacation

It’s so hard to pick just one! I’m taking a mountaineering course this year and upon graduation I have plans to climb Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, and Sloan Peak. Hopefully the El Niño weather doesn’t get in the way!

Such great ideas for places to go and things to do—I want to paddle the upper Missouri, paddle the MR340, bikepack the Butterfield Stage Route from near Jeff City to Arkansas, bikepack the rest of the Continental Divide Mountainbike Route, ride the Ohio to Erie bike route, ride the Virginia Creep trail, and ride the Rhine source (Switzerland) to the sea (Netherlands).
Any recommendations would be welcome.

Bush Crafting Trip with my Son & His Boys

Every January 1st turns my attention to our annual winter AT section hike. The same group of guys get together on Presidents weekend to pickup where we left off last year. This year, for our 23rd consecutive year, we’ll be backpacking mid way through Vermont!

I recently moved to the Hudson Valley in New York. I am excited to explore all of the great trails around me and even do some camping in the Catskills. Hope I get chosen!

coming up very soon, I’m traveling to Volcanoes NP on Hawaii.

I have big plans for my 50th year, including fast-packing John Muir Trail, Stagecoach 100, and running a total of 2024 miles!

I’ll be fundraising for the Be Good Foundation as I bike-pack (solo) from NYC to Sun Valley, ID. I’ll be collecting stories from other cyclists along the way. Around 3,000 miles to Ketchum, ID…FIXED GEAR!

Bikepacking the Silver Comet Trail

As a retired nurse with over 50 years of Nursing experience working and teaching students and nurses in Boston, I would like to repeat the feat I did on my 75th birthday in 2022. I can honestly say I walked around the world with hiking shoes and a rolling walker at Epcot in Disney! Keep moving! I also ride a 3 wheel adult tricycle on the Bike Trail here in Mansfield!

As a teacher I definitely like to make the most of my summers. The main backpacking/moubtaineering trip I have planned is some peak bagging in the Olympics with friends centered around Mt. Carrie and the Bailey traverse. I’ve also gotten into bikepacking and plan on completing the Oregon Outback trail in June.

I’m looking forward to being in the magical land of the Lost Coast Trail with my besties!

I am looking forward to several trips to the Sawtooths, and surrounding area! My kids only have a few summers before they leave the house/nest and I want to take advantage of the time!

I’m from KC so not the best place in the country for outdoor activity, so I try to make a trip east or west once or twice a year. This year I’m going on a 6 week car camp, ski (ikon pass), and diners, drive ins, and dives tour of the western US and Canada. Should be an incredible trip, made better by $1000 in new gear? ☺️

I started section hiking the AT at age 59, and am only able to do it for a few days a year. My spring trip has been postponed due to a detached retina, but I hope to hike NOC to Fontana Dam this fall. I started with the Approach Trail and hope to begin each hike where I finished the previous one, will probably never finish but I love every moment I spend on the trail.
