Every item in the Peak First Aid kit was carefully studied and selected to ensure only the best components are included. Peak Tape is a premium athletic tape with a super stick adhesive to help support injured joints and ligaments, splint fractures, and more. While most first aid kits skip tourniquets and pack a few more little bandages, Peak First Aid believes in providing the best tourniquets in every kit. This ultralight device is designed to help rapidly control arterial bleeding. Plus, it can be applied as a versatile pressure dressing for certain external hemorrhaging, as an elastic bandage to support injured joints and ligaments, or to aid in splinting. (Bonus tip: It is approved for use on dogs too!)

This is not your standard first aid kit in a few key ways:
- The kit is best used with some level of wilderness medicine training such as wilderness first aid.
- It is not for ouchies and booboos. While there are two classic adhesive bandages packed in the kit they are certainly not the emphasis of this kit. This kit is designed to help stabilize more serious injuries such as broken bones, large bleeds, injured joints and ligaments, and more.
- This kit does not emphasize infection management as most people will self-evac or rapid-evac to professional medical care after a serious injury.
- Many items are multi-use. e.g. Peak Tape can be used to secure injured ligaments, attach splinting material, create custom sized bandages, prevent blistering, and as good old fashioned tape OR the tourniquet can also be used as a pressure bandage or sling.
