Wūru (pronounced woo-roo) means "wool" in Māori, the language of the indigenous people of New Zealand. The idea for Wūru was born in 2018, when founders Matt and Katheryn were honeymooning in New Zealand. On the trail, their guide introduced them to the benefits of wool for blister prevention. One conversation later, they ordered 700 kilograms of wool, and Wūru was born. Since then, Wūru has grown beyond blister prevention, evolving into a brand that crafts high-quality Merino wool outdoor products, all made in their Salt Lake City, Utah factory. Their wool is ethically sourced directly from New Zealand and Australia. Every adventure begins with a single step, and Wūru is there every step of the way. Read more of their story here.
