    Timber!

Chris and Liz Lacy created Timber Mountain Bike Bells to offer awareness when you need it and silence when you don’t. The innovative design features and on-off switch. And the cow-bell style ring provides a pleasant greeting to those you might otherwise sneak up on.

The underlying mission behind Timber is stewardship and preserving trail access. As mountain biking continues to explode in popularity, riders face the constant threat of having their trails closed. Part of the solution lies in improving the way riders are perceived by other trail users. A smile, a friendly wave, and an improved way of signaling our presence, can help to ensure that we are able to continue to enjoying this amazing sport we all love so much.

    Kicking butt for small brands

Early last year, completely on a whim, I sent an e-mail about Kula Cloth to Garage Grown Gear. At the time, I didn't even have the final product - I was frantically churning out prototypes and feverishly navigating the uncharted waters of figuring out a production process for my piece of gear.

I was stunned when Lloyd from Garage Grown Gear wrote back to me - and wanted to meet me at Outdoor Retailer in Denver to talk about my product. Nervously, I met him in the lobby and gave him a prototype for Kula. He delivered a prototype to Amy Hatch, the founder of GGG, who used it on a week long backpacking trip in the Wind River Range and LOVED it (coincidentally enough, the idea for Kula came to me while I was backpacking in the Winds in 2015).

Amy and Lloyd believed in me long before there was 'proof' that Kula was going to be a success... long before I even had the final product. They saw the greater vision for what Kula represents - a vision for a community of empowered women and girls who are setting the example for Leave No Trace ethics by choosing to adventure with intention.

I will never, EVER be able to forget the grace, support and wisdom that have been bestowed upon me by Amy and Lloyd. I'm truly grateful that they were able to see the dream for Kula Cloth through my eyes - and I'm so blessed to consider them friends. Amy and Lloyd do amazing things for start-up brands, and I cannot recommend them and the products that they endorse more fully.
