As a single father of a soon to be 17 year old son we’ve backpacked 735 miles of The Appalachian Trail the past 5 years, which began not only as my cost effective means to provide my son with summer trips together but also renewed my passion for outdoors and developed a deep passion for my son adventures and challenges which he backpacked the AT 100 mile wilderness in under 4 days at 14 yrs old and together we are planning on thru hiking AT together in 2019 currently working on a budget to make this happen.
