I’ve long been a fan of Stonewear women's clothing. The brand’s pieces are simple, yet accented with thoughtful design details. The look is comfortable, yet professional. The colors are bright, yet don’t scream ’70s. And, I can always get behind USA made.
Last year, I reviewed a couple of the Stonewear’s performance pieces (the Volt running capri and Siren tank top). This year, I decided to check out some of its lifestyle clothing. For the last several months, I’ve donned the Cruiser Skirt, Getaway Dress and Breeze Pullover – all part of brand’s Spring 2016 collection.
These pieces have quickly become my go tos. After a fresh load of laundry, I find myself reaching for these clothes first. I wear them to the office, the swimming pool, professional networking events, and to yoga or on short hikes.
A few of my favorite features:
- pockets in the Cruiser Skirt (seriously, every skirt should have pockets!)
- thumb holes on the Breeze Pullover
- the cut on the back of the Getaway Dress
By the way, the Breeze Pullover pairs great with the Getaway Dress, or a pair of jeans.
The fabric on all three of these pieces is lightweight, but seems to be holding up well. The Breeze Pullover features the thinnest fabric. And, after dozens of uses, it is starting to show some wear and tear near the wrists.
In terms of sizing, I’m a Smedium. Not quite a small, not quite a medium. After some good advice from the brand that the fit tends to run on the roomy side, I opted for smalls across the board. And everything fits, well.
Here are a few pics of my Stonewear clothing in action.
Bottom line: I’m the type of person who likes to break up my work day with a run, bike or yoga sess. Stonewear facilitates that fluid, fit-it-all-in, mountain lifestyle. Half the time, I can head out the door for a quick workout without needing to change.
