KickstartersLloyd Vogel

Its all apparel this week! Puffy, boots, pants and more pants. This week's roundup features projects from Outdoor Vitals, Norra, MYMAYU, and Brise!

We've had the pleasure of testing this jacket out for the last couple of months and it's wonderfully designed. While we'll post a full review next week, the LoftTek Adventure Jacket by Outdoor Vitals is worth checking out. Warm, packable, and well fitting, the LoftTek is an exceptionally "downlike." With 100K in funding in the first 24 hours, there are big aspirations for this little jacket!

LoftTek™ is the world's most advanced synthetic down imitation. The loose fill nature of the fibers mimics down’s extreme weight to warmth ratios and packability, while the it’s synthetic nature allows it to stay warm in wet conditions!

Unlike down, LoftTek uses siliconized fibers that dry quickly and always stay lofted for optimal warmth - even when wet. You get the ultralight warmth and packability of down and the versatility and moisture advantages of synthetic.

Ljung pants are designed to work in as many weather conditions as possible. The pants are warm enough to handle cooler temperatures and thanks to the extended side ventilation, that can be adjusted both from the top and bottom, you can easily adjust the temperature if you are getting too warm.

Our dream was to create a pair of pants that can be extremely multi-functional and that are made to last. Pants that balance durability, comfort and functionality in a way that would make them perfect in the outdoors. From our point of view, the Ljung pants are just that!

I’ve been pretty impressed by Loft Tek so far. While I’m not a big fan of synthetic insulation in general, Loft Tek certainly mimics down more closely than other products I’ve encountered. It is pretty much as advertised: Packable, 3.5 season wearable, and not bad on the eyes. As far as quality/price point/actual usability, its really solid. It also doesn’t have the deceptive bulk of most synthetic jackets either.

How does the Loft Tek compare to other down-like products from Primaloft and other manufacturers?
