Kickstarter Roundup: Inflatable Backpacks, Titanium Chopsticks, UL Shirts & Utility Knives

A t-shirt that raises 80K+ in funding (after just 2 weeks) is pretty unusual. Made out of merino wool and silver, the SilverAir Merino shirt is designed to be light, comfortable, odor resistant, and breathable. While most merino shirts hum a similar tune, at $49, it's a relatively affordable tune.

A simple t-shirt, beautifully designed and engineered with a fabric like no other. We combined luxurious merino wool with pure silver on the inside to give you extraordinary next-to-skin comfort and the very best anti-odor performance. A nylon exterior provides structure and adds durability, all while keeping the weight of the product less than 120 grams (in a medium size).

Having something sharp and pointy is often helpful in both frontcountry and backcountry life. This little blade seems up to most of the challenges faced by the average outdoorsy person, and I'm not gung-ho about anything swinging from my neck (least of all a knife), attaching this to a pack would be easy enough.

We chose titanium because it was the perfect material for the job.  These design features also happen to make it the perfect knife for runners, hikers, camping, fishing or simply anyone looking for a personal, compact utility knife, which can be carried daily, securely.

This is a new one (at least to us)! From external frames, to internal frames, to frameless, to inflatable frames? While only in daypack form at this point, it's a neat concept that seems to merge Matador backpacks and air mattresses.

Whether it was something poking us in the back, or a strain in the shoulders in the early afternoon, it just wasn't worth it. The day would always end the same way: with us both sore and in pain. So we did what any exasperated product designer does: we designed a new daypack. One that still folds up into a tiny ball but expands into a full comfortable backpack.

Like chopsticks? Like titanium? While 1.8oz might not sound like a ton, these solid titanium chops weigh almost 10 times more than our Outpost Titanium Chopsticks. Built for durability and longevity, these bad boys shouldn't need replacing anytime soon.

Not only do disposable chopsticks result in deforestation, they harbor bacteria in microscopic crevices. Plastic or rubber chopsticks will produce harmful substances to human body over time. Steel chopsticks can make some people allergic and have an unpleasant metal smell and taste.  We're solving all of these problems with the most durable, eco-friendly and hygienic chopsticks CNC milled from a single piece of solid 100% Grade 1 (CP1) Titanium! CP1 is the purest form of Titanium that is the most resistant to corrosion.
