Gear review: the new 4-season Give'r gloves now on Kickstarter

4-Season Give'r Gloves

I first noticed the original Give’r gloves in the lift line at our local ski resort, Grand Targhee. The branded silhouette of the Teton Range caught my eye.  I remember thinking ‘that’s a good idea’.  Little did I know that just a few months later I’d be working as Garage Grown Gear’s store manager, sending out hundreds of Give’r glove orders.

The original Give’r glove is a good-quality insulated leather glove that comes custom branded with your initials, in addition to that silhouette of the Tetons. It’s the kind of glove you see out West a lot, whether in the lift line, at the loading dock, or on the dashboard of a flatbed pickup truck.

In December, I got the chance to meet the founder of Give’r, Bubba Albrecht, at the Give’r world headquarters in Jackson Wyoming. I was surprised to find that Bubba wasn’t resting on his laurels.  Next to stacks of the original Give’r gloves waiting to be branded, Bubba had prototypes of new 4-Season Give’r glove, now on Kickstarter.

The 4-season Give’r glove was designed from the ground up to be everything Bubba and his team ever wanted in a glove: comfortable, versatile, durable, waterproof, leather, and insulated. It’s a glove made for the Give'r in us all.

Well, they clearly hit the nail on the head, because their Kickstarter project to bring the 4-Season glove to life was funded in a matter of hours.  As of today, they’ve more than quadrupled their $25,000 goal with $102,000 in funding committed. High five to Bubba and team for living up to their motto, and giving it their all.

4-Season Give'r Gloves

Bubba was nice enough to send me a pair for the new 4-season Give’r gloves to test out. I’ve had the gloves for just a week but in true mountain town style I’ve already used them for: snowmobiling, skiing, splitting wood, driving, walking around town, and working in the garage.

The bottom line: The new 4-season Give’r gloves already found their spot on the dashboard of my truck. I’ve owned a lot of insulated leather gloves over the years, and even though I’ve only had the 4-season Give’r gloves a few days I can say, without a doubt, these really are the best damn gloves ever.
